      Beckie Hoffman has been an on-site owner of Bluegrass Academy since April 2004. Beckie holds her Directors Credentials and CDA (Child Development Associate) in childcare. Beckie worked as a fulltime Account Executive for 2 of the largest Insurance brokers in the state of KY for 12 years before entering childcare fulltime. Beckie has been married to her soul mate, Steve, for 19 years and counting and together they have 3 beautiful children, Hope 24, Jackson 13 and Noah 7. She is extremely involved with her children’s activities and her church at Southeast Christian. God, Family and Bluegrass Academy are of the highest priorities for her. Beckie takes great pride in knowing she is providing the upmost quality care for the children to not only be kindergarten ready, but to be safe, loved and nurtured at all times. She is a very hands-on owner and loves what she does!

      Kandi Alvey has been an on-site owner of Bluegrass Academy since April 2004. Kandi graduated from Morehead State University in 1994 with a Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education with a concentration in Learning and Behavior Disorders. She received a Master’s degree in Special Education – Functional Mental Disabilities from the University of Louisville in 2004. Kandi worked full time as a Special Education Teacher for 10 years in Bullitt County prior to opening the first center. She is the mother of two children, Raeann 17 and Carter 15. Education is very important to Kandi and her family. As a teacher it was a priority to make Bluegrass Academy a center where young children are prepared for kindergarten. Kandi takes great pride in knowing she is a hands on owner and that she has strong values in education and that these things show in her involvement in the centers.
